Profit Through Collaboration I have a number of activities under this heading that all stem from a firm belief that in working together we are more creative, more productive and more successful. The activities under this heading are:
I believe that the 21st Century will see major changes in the way that we do business. We have made rapid progress through the Information Age; it is pretty much now possible, via the Internet, to access most of the knowledge and data in the world. Information is no longer power and the structures that depended on this power are in decline. We are fastly approaching the dawn of a new age that will be more about how we come together to use the information and increased connectivity provided by the Information Age. The New Age will be about connection, relationships and collaboration on a gloabal, boundryless scale. Business in the New Age will see greater harmony with nature and the human race. I believe that we will have to change as we experience ever greater impact from the counter force of nature and a growing global social unrest. I feel as though I am on the fringe of this change. Whilst, I can't claim to know how it will fully evolve (and who could?), I do feel that I am incorporating key elements of Business in the New Age into my own practices and teachings. It feels very right. Two areas that reflect my flirtation with New Age Business is my working together with others to create profitable products and services and the sharing of channels to market. The Essential Skills for the 21st Century Manager Workshop : This is one day workshop that I have developed with a coach and business trainer, Phil Goddard. Together Phil and I create, deliver and market the workshop. Within a short space of time Phil and I became a very productive unit; so successful has the formula proved that we have a number of other workshops in the near future pipeline. A short course in achievement : I am currently developing a streaming video based self-coaching programme with health coach Rob Mesrie. We are working together to build the delivery platform and coaching each other through the development of our own content. I intend to release a number of these streaming video based courses over time, the first of which is an 8 week program entitled 'A short course in achievement'. The program includes over two hours of streaming video, an online manual, a complementary telephone coaching session and email support throughout the program. I am about to release a FREE pilot version in limited numbers to those that are interested in experiencing this unique format and in providing honest feedback that I can use to improve the program.
