This one day workshop will equip you with the essential management skills needed from the first day of promotion into a supervisory role right through to the peak of your management career.

It is common knowledge that in the UK important management skills are not taught or practiced as well as they could be, leaving managers at all levels struggling with a variety of people issues including unresolved conflicts, under performance, poor communication, occupational stress and near negliable work-life balance.

At the Essential Skills for the 21st Century Manager Workshop, you will learn:

o How to determine realistic expectations with your manager that you and your team will achieve

o The art of outcome thinking to ensure achievement of goals.

o Setting achievable and measurable personal objectives

o The appropriate methods of motivation for different working styles

o Skills for influencing with integrity and communicating with accuracy upwards, sideways and downwards.

o How to earn the trust, respect and confidence of others

o How to get the best from yourself and others through addressing issues causing stress and under performance

Management experts, Mark Spall and Phil Goddard bring an entertaining learning style to the workshop drawing on more than 30 years combined management experience.

Whilst the planned workshops are being run in the Ipswich area, Phil and Mark are prepared to travel to you if a sufficient number of delegates can be arranged. The ideal number of delegates is between 12 and 16. We will consider running smaller groups.

The workshop starts at 9.30 and finishes at 4.30 with an hour for lunch.
